Welcome to the official website of Original Arenal ATV. By accessing and using this website (https://originalarenalatv.com/), you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions of Use. If you do not agree with any of the terms outlined below, please refrain from using our website. - Reservations and Payments
Reservations with Original Arenal ATV may be made through the following methods:

By making a reservation, you agree to the following payment terms:
Payment and Confirmation
Payment must be completed using one of the following methods, according to your preference:
• ONVO Pay payment link
• SINPE Móvil
• Bank transfer
• Credit/Debit card form
Payments processed via card are completed through a secure payment system, with the customer’s express authorization at the time of reservation. The charge will be applied upon confirmation of the booking. Customers may also authorize payment by providing card details via telephone, where the transaction will be securely processed with their consent.
Important Note:
By providing payment details (via form or telephone), you expressly authorize Original Arenal ATV to charge the total amount of the reservation and agree to the charges that may apply according to our modification and cancellation policies. Any applicable charges resulting from cancellations or changes will be processed in accordance with these policies and the payment method used.
- Reservation Policy
Reservations are subject to availability. If the selected tour is not available, we will contact you via email or WhatsApp to offer alternatives or adjust the reservation. If no satisfactory alternative is agreed upon, the reservation will be canceled and any applicable refund will be processed in accordance with our Cancellation Policy. - Cancellation Policy
Cancellation conditions depend on the type of reservation and the notice period.
Individual Reservations
(1 to 4 vehicles, single or double)
• More than 48 hours’ notice: 100% refundable
• Between 24 and 48 hours before the activity: 50% refundable
• Less than 24 hours’ notice: Non-refundable
Group Reservations
(5 or more vehicles, single or double)
• More than 5 days’ notice: 100% refundable
• Between 48 hours and 5 days before the activity: 50% refundable
• Less than 48 hours’ notice: Non-refundable
No Show
Failure to appear without prior notice will result in a 100% penalty, with no right to refund.
- Weather Conditions and Activity Modifications
Weather conditions in La Fortuna can change quickly between sun, clouds, rain, and thunderstorms. Activities are not canceled or refunded due to rain. Tours will operate as scheduled unless persistent electrical storms prevent safe operation before departure.
Electrical Storms
If an electrical storm occurs, a reasonable waiting period will be observed to allow conditions to improve. If weather conditions do not become suitable, guests may reschedule or cancel depending on availability and applicable policy.
- Reservation Modifications
Modifications are subject to availability and should be requested as far in advance as possible.
If the requested modification (date, time, or tour) cannot be accommodated due to lack of availability, we will contact you via email or WhatsApp to offer alternatives. If no agreement is reached, the reservation will be canceled, and refunds will be processed in accordance with our Cancellation Policy.
Modifications Requested by the Customer
Any modification that results in a reduction of reserved ATVs (for both individual and group reservations) will follow the same deadlines, conditions, and penalty percentages established in the Cancellation Policy. This means that reducing the number of vehicles within a penalty period will be treated as a partial cancellation, and the corresponding charges will apply.
If a modification involves adding ATVs or changing a participant from passenger to driver, these adjustments will depend on availability and must be paid accordingly.
- General Information and Safety Policy
• Closed-toe shoes are required for all participants.
When booking with Original Arenal ATV, you are reserving an ATV vehicle space. Before the tour begins, all participants must complete a practice circuit designed to simulate real trail conditions and ensure safety.
If a participant does not pass the practice circuit, they will not be allowed to drive for safety reasons. However, they may continue the tour as a passenger within their group. Since the reservation secures the ATV vehicle space, no refund applies if the participant is unable to drive.
Recommendation:
Please reserve driver spots only for those who feel confident operating an ATV. If any companion decides to drive on the day of the tour and meets the requirements, they may purchase a driver spot depending on availability.
